Good for quick diagrams

I used Creately for a flowchart for a presentation. The AI flowchart creator was pretty fast. It took a few tries to get it right. Paid for a month, then canceled. Got what I needed done.

Amazing visual collaboration!

I tried Creately to create some network diagrams and it was fantastic! The real-time collaboration with my team worked flawlessly. We even used the AI text to diagram feature, which saved us so much time. The shape libraries are extensive, and I loved the smart connectors. I will definitely keep using this for all my projects and have already told my colleagues about it!

Solid tool, good features

I signed up for Creately a few weeks ago to help with some agile project planning and strategy mapping. The initial setup was straightforward, and I found the interface pretty intuitive. I mostly used it for Gantt charts and Kanban boards, which worked well for my team. The integration with Jira was a big plus, as it streamlined our workflow quite a bit. Delivery is instant, of course, since it's online software. I did have a small question about exporting to PDF and their support team got back to me within a day, which was helpful. The version history is also a neat feature for tracking changes. Overall, a good experience, and it's definitely improved how we visualize our projects.

thinking of getting a subscription, does Creately offer any discounts? like is there a student discount code or something?

J Julia P. 2 months ago
i think they do have a student discount! check their pricing page, it's usually listed there or you can ask support about it.

they definitely have discounts for students and non-profits. also, if you pay annually instead of monthly, it's a good chunk cheaper. like 20-30% usually.

anyone use Creately vs Lucidchart? i'm trying to decide which one to go with for my team's diagrams, curious about real-world experience.

D Derek Silva 2 months ago
i switched from Lucidchart to Creately. honestly, the AI features in Creately are a game changer for getting diagrams started quickly. the collaboration feels smoother too.

Lucidchart is good, but Creately feels a bit more modern and the template library is huge. if you're doing a lot of different kinds of visuals, Creately might be better. plus, it's often a bit cheaper.

can i import my old visio files into creately? i have a ton of diagrams from my last job i'd like to reuse.

M Marcus Kaur 1 month ago
yep, you can import Visio files. i did that when i first started using it, worked fine for me.

pretty sure it supports Visio imports. i haven't done it myself, but i've seen it mentioned in their features list. shouldn't be an issue.

hey, was thinking of trying creately for some project stuff. is it really free to use or is that just for like a super basic version that's not actually useful?

D Derek Beaumont 2 months ago
yeah, there's a free tier. it's pretty good for basic flowcharts and stuff. you can definitely get a feel for it without paying.

it's free but has limits. like, you get a certain number of documents and collaborators. for anything serious, you'll probably want to upgrade, but it's enough to mess around with.
